My name is Aiko Uehara, and I am doing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and double minoring in Communications at Thompson Rivers University. I grew up in a traditional Japanese school. However, I started studying English in high school when I went to international schools in China and Brazil.

I believe one of the significance of Public Relations is to create impactful experiences that resonate with the public. I’m particularly interested in event planning and public engagement strategies, where I can facilitate meaningful connections and create opportunities for genuine interactions.

One of my professional goals is to be an event planner as well as the promoter of the event. In fact, I have been planning a prom this year and working as a co-op student at the TRU Open Press team to write an impact story.
